International Sea Freight Agency (From China to Global Destinations)
International shipping involves a series of standardized procedures to ensure the smooth transportation of goods across borders. The following outlines the key steps in the international shipping operation process, from quotation to document release.
Provide clients with a detailed shipping quotation based on factors such as cargo type, volume, weight, origin, destination, and service requirements.
-
(1) Refer to the company document "Booking Format". Send the booking form to the client and request them to complete and return it.
-
(2) Verify the content of the completed booking form, including: Shipper, Consignee, Notify Party, customs clearance deadline, container type, commodity name, weight, and volume.
-
(1) Fill out the operation record according to the company document "Operation Record Format".
-
(2) Obtain signatures from the business manager and the person who obtained the price.
-
(3) Submit to Customer Service for arranging booking with the shipping company.
Verify the shipping order details including: S/O number, Shipper, Consignee, vessel name and voyage, customs clearance deadline, document submission deadline, and weight restrictions.
-
(1) Confirm the loading address with the client.
-
(2) Use the shipping order to obtain an empty container release form from the container yard.
-
(3) Return the loaded container to the yard (a container return receipt will be provided after return).
Submit customs declaration documents (such as verification certificates, certificates of origin, inspection certificates, etc.) to the customs. Await customs clearance (a customs release document will be issued upon clearance).
Submit the customs release document to the shipping company, which will arrange for container loading onto the vessel according to the scheduled timeline.
Submit shipping document information, usually a one-time submission. The shipper provides the bill of lading information to our company, which then submits it to the shipping company. (Note: For shipments to U.S. routes, document submission should be 3-4 days before the vessel's departure.)
The bill of lading must be signed by the carrier or ship's agent to be valid. It serves as one of the essential documents for customs declaration of sea freight cargo.
Before issuing the bill of lading to the client, collect the ocean freight and any other additional charges incurred.
Upon confirmation that the shipping fees have been received, issue and send the original bill of lading to the client.
