A: Relevant laws and regulations stipulate that only with a hygiene certificate can the product be sold on the market. - Q: What is the clearance process for imported food? What documents need to be provided?
A: The simplified process is: Consignor & Consignee Recordal → Pre-review of Commodity Inspection Labels → Inspection Declaration → Customs Clearance → Inspection → Release → Issuance of Hygiene Certificate. In addition to routine documents, the following are required: Certificate of Origin, Foreign Official Sanitary Certificate, Import Food Consignor/Consignee Recordal, Copy of Business License, Label Samples and Translations, Nutritional Composition Analysis Certificate and Translations, and 6 other supporting statements. - Q: What conditions are needed to import food?
A: The business entity must have "food business" within its business scope stated in the company's business license; if a permit is required, the business must be operated with the relevant permit. The consignor and consignee of imported food must have completed recordal. Frozen animal-derived food must be stored in warehouses registered with the inspection and quarantine institution.
