These are goods that must undergo inspection and quarantine by entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities as required by Chinese laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- (1) Goods listed in the Catalogue of Import and Export Commodities Subject to Inspection and Quarantine by Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Authorities;
- (2) Imported waste materials and used mechanical and electrical products;
- (3) Performance inspection and usage appraisal of packaging containers for export dangerous goods;
- (4) Entry-exit containers;
- (5) Animals, plants, their products, and other quarantinable items entering, exiting, or in transit;
- (6) Loading containers, packaging materials, and dunnage used for carrying animals, plants, their products, and other quarantinable items; and imported animal/plant-based packaging materials and dunnage;
- (7) Means of transport originating from animal/plant epidemic areas; and means of transport carrying animals, plants, their products, and other quarantinable items entering, exiting, or in transit;
- (8) Imported scrap ships to be dismantled;
- (9) Entry-exit personnel, means of transport, transportation equipment, as well as luggage, goods, and postal parcels that may transmit quarantinable diseases;
- (10) Items carried by travelers (including microorganisms, human tissues, biological products, blood and blood products, human remains, ashes, waste items, articles that may transmit diseases, as well as animals, plants, their products, and other quarantinable items) and accompanying pets;
- (11) International postal items (including animals, plants, their products, other quarantinable items, microorganisms, human tissues, biological products, blood and blood products, and other international postal items requiring quarantine);
- (12) Other objects subject to inspection and quarantine as stipulated by other laws and administrative regulations.
- Goods that the importing country or region requires to present a certificate issued by an inspection and quarantine authority for entry;
- Goods subject to inspection and quarantine as required by relevant international treaties;
- Goods for which the foreign trade contract stipulates that handover and settlement must be based on certificates issued by an inspection and quarantine authority;

- Customs Supervision Condition Codes:
- A: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires entry inspection and quarantine;
- B: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires exit inspection and quarantine;
- D: Indicates the corresponding commodity is under joint supervision by Customs and inspection and quarantine authorities.

- M: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires import commodity inspection;
- N: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires export commodity inspection;
- P: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires entry animal/plant quarantine;
- Q: Indicates the corresponding commodity requires exit animal/plant quarantine;
